Round 1
- 1. LaDainian Tomlinson RB SDC
- 2. Adrian Peterson RB MIN
- 3. Steven Jackson RB STL
- 4. Joseph Addai RB IND
- 5. Marion III Barber RB DAL
- 6. Brian Westbrook RB PHI
- 7. Frank Gore RB SFO
- 8. Tom Brady QB NEP
- 9. Larry Johnson RB KCC
- 10. Clinton Portis RB WAS
- 11. Marshawn Lynch RB BUF
- 12. Randy Moss WR NEP
|
So apparently in 2008 it's Brady instead of Peyton instead of Daunte instead of Kurt Warner, as the first round QB that
will put up a ton of stats but, leave you high and dry at the Runningback spot.
10 Runningbacks gone or 10 of 12 teams in your league have a runningback at this point.
|
Round 2
- 13. Peyton Manning QB IND
- 14. Maurice Jones-Drew RB JAC
- 15. Ryan Grant RB GBP
- 16. Willis McGahee RB BAL
- 17. Terrell Owens WR DAL
- 18. Tony Romo QB DAL
- 19. Reggie Wayne WR IND
- 20. Michael Turner RB SDC
- 21. Laurence Maroney RB NEP
- 22. Braylon Edwards WR CLE
- 23. Andre Johnson WR HOU
- 24. Jamal Lewis RB CLE
|
5 good runningbacks taken and that RBBC gem called MJD. Owens is back to high 2nd round, Moss is back to finishing out the first.
Romo is too early and just can't be taken then. He's not Manning or Brady. This is the worst 2nd round I can ever recall. IF IF things were
to hold true this would be the year to trade down into the 3rd and even trade up from later picks into the 4th or 5th

Round 3
- 25. Larry Fitzgerald WR ARI
- 26. Reggie Bush RB NOS
- 27. Ronnie Brown RB MIA
- 28. Steve Smith WR CAR
- 29. Willie Parker RB PIT
- 30. TJ Houshmandzadeh WR CIN
- 31. Drew Brees QB NOS
- 32. Marques Colston WR NOS
- 33. Chad Johnson WR CIN
- 34. Plaxico Burress WR NYG
- 35. Brandon Jacobs RB NYG
- 36. Wes Welker WR NEP
|
I would take all 12 here in round 3 over all 12 in Round 2, as a group. I love the prospects of the round 2 players but moreso than
these round 3 players?
|
Round 4
- 37. Anquan Boldin WR ARI
- 38. Earnest Graham RB TBB
- 39. Torry Holt WR STL
- 40. Roy Williams WR DET
- 41. Carson Palmer QB CIN
- 42. Ben Roethlisberger QB PIT
- 43. Julius Jones RB DAL
- 44. Antonio Gates TE SDC
- 45. Brandon Marshall WR DEN
- 46. Marvin Harrison WR IND
- 47. Greg Jennings WR GBP
- 48. Jason Witten TE DAL
|
Good value still but, why are people taking Quarterbacks at this rate. Anyone else "just know" there will be a Quarterback "steal" for you
in the later rounds. 6 teams, or half a 12 team league, have Quarterbacks now.
Can you see why trading into the 3rd or 4th would have been such a good tactic?
|
Round 5
- 49. Santonio Holmes WR PIT
- 50. Thomas Jones RB NYJ
- 51. Lendale White RB TEN
- 52. Derek Anderson QB CLE
- 53. Calvin Johnson WR DET
- 54. Lee Evans WR BUF
- 55. Travis Henry RB DEN
- 56. Kellen Winslow TE CLE
- 57. Matt Hasselbeck QB SEA
- 58. Rudi Johnson RB CIN
- 59. Roddy White WR ATL
- 60. Donovan McNabb QB PHI
|
I like Kellen WInslow here. 5th round is a nice round for a Tight End and he could surpass Gates as the league's best.
We're up to 9 Quarterbacks taken, still wouldn't bite.
Rudi Johnson probably becomes the best pick in this round.
|
Round 6
- 61. Tony Gonzalez TE KCC
- 62. Dwayne Bowe WR KCC
- 63. Deuce McAllister RB NOS
- 64. Chris Chambers WR SDC
- 65. Fred Taylor RB JAC
- 66. Edgerrin James RB ARI
- 67. Justin Fargas RB OAK
- 68. Dallas Clark TE IND
- 69. Vince Young QB TEN
- 70. Hines Ward WR PIT
- 71. Jerricho Cotchery WR NYJ
- 72. Marc Bulger QB STL
|
11 Quarterbacks taken now, it would be just you left if you waited.
I'm not seeing how Fargas is drafted within 50-75 picks of this slot, wow is that early.
Fred Taylor or Edgerrin James are the best picks this round. They should go earlier.
|
Round 7
- 73. Chris Cooley TE WAS
- 74. Bobby Engram WR SEA
- 75. Bernard Berrian WR CHI
- 76. Kenny Watson RB CIN
- 77. Donald Driver WR GBP
- 78. Chester Taylor RB MIN
- 79. Todd Heap TE BAL
- 80. Vincent Jackson WR SDC
- 81. Santana Moss WR WAS
- 82. Joey Galloway WR TBB
- 83. Cedric Benson RB CHI
- 84. Jay Cutler QB DEN
|
I think Watson is too early here. Rudi is beefed up and rarin' to go. Chris Perry is finally healthy. I don't like that slot for Watson.
Chester Taylor doing well with Adrian Peterson around, I don't much like that pick either.
Favre's retirement has turned Donald Driver into a poor Wide Receiver apparently. He's the best pick here. At least let's see him slow down some before we predict
his demise.
|
Round 8
- 85. Vernon Davis TE SFO
- 86. DeAngelo Williams RB CAR
- 87. Laveranues Coles WR NYJ
- 88. Selvin Young RB DEN
- 89. Anthony Gonzalez WR IND
- 90. Eli Manning QB NYG
- 91. David Garrard QB JAC
- 92. Javon Walker WR DEN
- 93. San Diego Chargers DT SDC
- 94. Jerry Porter WR JAC
- 95. Kevin Curtis WR PHI
- 96. Shaun Alexander RB SEA
|
Shaun being taken is a common hunch I guess. He doesn't even have a team. Anthony Gonzalez is a tough one with people
questioning whether Marvin will play all of 2008.
Coles is the best pick this round.
